Jim practices primarily in the area of real estate where he has represented owners in the acquisition, development, financing and management of commercial and residential real estate projects. Related areas of practice include finance, residential mortgage lending, title insurance, foreclosures, loan workouts and real estate brokerage. In addition to practicing in the real estate field, Jim has also owned and operated a title insurance agency, a mortgage brokerage firm, acted as both a principal and agent in connection with the sale and acquisition of real estate, and owns and operates residential rental property. Jim is also the owner of IPX Exchange Services, Inc., which acts as a qualified intermediary in connection with tax deferred exchanges of property. Jim is a lifelong resident of St. Louis where he lives with his wife Cindy and five children.

Practice areas include real estate, real estate finance, real estate tax matters, business organizations and title insurance.

Awards/Distinctions: Director and Advisory Director for local banks.

Publications and presentations include Author – Real Property Exchanges, which appears in the Missouri Bar Practice series on Real Estate; Presenter – Exchanges under Section 1031 IRC and lecturer for continuing education credit for the Missouri Bar and St. Louis and St. Charles Board of Realtors.
