Elkin L. Kistner

Principal

Elkin practices primarily in the areas of state and local government law, civil litigation, and health law. He has twenty-eight years of experience working in state and federal courts, handling numerous jury and bench trials, as well as appeals. Those cases have involved myriad disputes arising under state and local government law, civil rights, constitutional, real estate, contract and administrative law and ERISA. His work has produced a substantial body of appellate decisions.

Mr. Kistner is a 1985 graduate of the Washington University School of Law and he received his undergraduate degree in 1981 from Tufts University. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. He is a former Assistant City Counselor for the City of St. Louis, Missouri and presently is the City Attorney for the City of Charlack, Missouri, and the Town Attorney for the Town of West Sullivan, Missouri.

He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the City of St. Louis Circuit Court Law Library Association and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

He holds a Martindale Hubbell AV Peer Review Rating, which is the highest rating for competency and ethics.
